Centenary Spotlight: Cory and Kristen Daniel
This week’s Centenary Spotlight is on Cory and Kristen Daniel. Cory is the chair of the Finance Committee and Kristen is the chair of the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. They have been members of Centenary since 2010.
The role of the Finance Committee is to oversee the fiduciary elements and actions of the church, with attention to the congregation’s responsibility for complying with both legal standards and moral and ethical financial practices. The primary goal is to faithfully receive, steward, and use the financial assets in a manner that supports the church’s stated mission and ministry.
The role of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee at Centenary Methodist Church is to support and maintain an open and healthy relationship between the pastor and members of the congregation. The committee serves in two primary ways: as an advisory group to the pastor and as support for the pastor’s leadership. As an advisory group the committee shares ideas, dreams, hopes, expectations, and concerns of the congregation with the pastor. As support for the pastor, the committee interprets roles, functions, and needs of the pastor to the congregation.
Kristen and Cory are proud parents of Caden, who is also very active in children’s ministry and Sunday school. Cory and Kristen look forward to the bright future in our youth programs at Centenary!
Thank you to Cory and Kristen for all you do for Centenary!
