Centenary Spotlight: Ron Hahs

DSC03676

This week’s Centenary Spotlight is on Ron Hahs. He has been a member of Centenary since 1975 and is the Chair of the Administrative Council as well as the leader of the Upper Room Sunday School class.

The Administrative Council is charged with planning and implementing a ministry of evangelizing and spreading scriptural holiness through nurture, outreach, witness and resources of the local church. The Administrative Council shall envision, plan, implement, and annually evaluate the mission and ministry of the church. The Council meets at least quarterly.

The Administrative Council was essential in the process of disaffiliating from the United Methodist Church. The council had multiple meetings regarding the matter and organized a church vote, in which Centenary voted 81% for an amicable separation into two churches that resulted in Centenary’s separation from the UMC. They then held another vote regarding whether Centenary should join the Global Methodist Church, in which our church voted 100%. The Administrative Council may not be something you think about Sunday morning, but it is an essential organization that oversees all committees and is crucial for making big decisions to forward the prosperity of Centenary.

Ron is the leader of the Upper Room Sunday School Class, which is a class that does strictly Bible Study, and references works from Dr. J. Vernon McGee and William Barclay.

Ron is also a member of our Worship Team, singing in the choir. Thank you Ron for your leadership and dedication to Centenary!
