Centenary Spotlight: Drew Dollar

On this week’s Centenary Spotlight, we are highlighting our Sound Engineer Drew Dollar. Drew has been a staff member and a church member for the last decade. He first worked in maintenance but transitioned to audio in 2016. Drew refers to himself as a “one man sound crew” (although he is very grateful for our volunteer Mel Gilhaus who ran audio before him, and is a great help whenever he is able.) Drew runs audio for our livestream, in-house, the monitors for our musicians, and the earpieces for those who need listening devices–all at once! On a Sunday morning, Drew is managing around fifteen different sources of audio. This is no easy feat, and Drew’s expertise is essential for every service. He also mixes the audio in the FLC, and assists with choir practice whenever needed.
Drew is grateful to Centenary for hiring him at a tumultuous time in his life. “Centenary saved my life,” he said. Drew is grateful to work in a field he is passionate about, and to work with such amazing staff members and church members. Drew loves using his talents to give back to his church, to give back to the community, and most importantly to lift up God and His word. Thank you Drew for all of your hard work!
