This week we are honoring one of our most tenured staff: Fanancial Secretary Judy Sneathen. Judy maintains all financial and personnel records including payroll, tax reports and yar-end statements, posting all contributions to the church and handling all disbursements/accounts payable. She serves as secretary to the Finance, Memorial and Scholarship committees and is a member of the Budget/Stewardship Committee. She has a strong sense of confidentiality, accounting knowledge as well as being proficient in organizational skills.

She started at Centenary in 1998 having been a legal secretary for 15 years and running a family plumbing and heating company for 15 years. She immediately joined the Professional Association of the United Methodist Church Secretaries (PAUMCS) and was certified at Emory University in 1999. She served as President of the State Chapter of PAUMCS for three years and has also received Certified Administrative Professional status from the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) thru Southeast Missouri State University.

Judy was baptized at Centenary and became a member when she was confirmed. She has been married here, her daughter was baptized and married here, and her granddaughters have attended preschool. She certainly considers Centenary her church and is very dedicated to its mission and long history. She has belonged to the youth groups, attended Sunday School and Vacation Bible School as well as worked in the Kitchen to prepare and serve those famous Church dinners.

Her relationship with God and her Church goes hand in hand with her interest in genealogy and all the generations that have come before her to make her who she is. She feels that everyone needs to know from where they have come to help forge a path to where they are going. Centenary has that strong history of beliefs and is continuing its path to the future. She certainly wants to be a part of that future if she can with strong commitment to confidentiality and being organized and helpful to the staff.

Thank you Judy to your unwavering commitment and faith to Centenary and to our Lord Jesus Christ! We are grateful to have you!
